any one have an MSD with the GM quick connect harness? its really simple just match the colors and plug inline of the coil, and connect power and ground. seems way too easy. anyway its not working, just wondered if there is a trick to it. mabe i have a bad box.

the two plugs from the stock coil go into the msd harness, and then then the other side of the MSD harness plugs into the coil. I think only the front plug socket is used, not both like in stock config. Then your red/white/black/orange all plug into the msd harness as well. I dont have it in front of me, btu thats how i remember it.

Didnt it come with directions? Make sure you put a fuse inline with the battery.

thanks mike.
i figured it out. i had the second coil plug still plugged into the coil instead of the 6a harness. yea it came with instructions, but it didnt show where that second plug went, so i just assumed it stayed plugged into the coil. switched them and it came to life. still playing with the truck, but i really like the 6a so far.

Yup...one of the coil connections is no longer used. I have one that worked fine with the stock ECM, but it kept dropping tach signal with the SpeedPro...possibly some compatibility problem there.

My msd instruction says "no need for a fuse that there is one inside the msd box". Guess what, i didn't put a fuse.
