LS stand alone harness

Is anyone using a current performance LS harness?

I put a painless harness in my GN swap and it was perfect other than the alternator turn on.

Does the current performance or other suppliers such as fuel injection specialties use a alternator turn on in the harness?

Wiring up light bulbs and resistors is dumb in my opinion since the ECM turns it on anyway.

I know there is a difference in some of the alternators that were made over the years too so that comes into play as well.

Either way just seeing if someone knows.

I emailed both companies and haven't heard back yet.

There are one wire and three wire plugs on the ALT depending on if its a car or truck alternator.

What harness are you "just plugging into"? The Painless harness I bought didn't have a wire to run from the ECM to the ALT. I had to run a light bulb to get the correct resistance to make the ALT "turn on".

I'm about to buy another harness and I'm want to know if other suppliers such as mentioned above have a ALT wire output from the ECM to the ALT to "excite/turn-on" the ALT.
