my biggest concern is the shifting. Not shifting where you said it should and it holds the shifts to 4500rpm wot. Not sure where you set it at. I have not done a full 0-100mph run yet. Kinda worried not to mess the trans up the way it is shifting right now.
My usb-serial works fine with the DM but the TCI says no ecu found??? just wont connect?
The part throttle shift points just take some tweaking. Your ony talking 4 to 6 mph. The TCI unit uses all the factors I put into it to determine road speed. Then it uses road speed and TPS to determine part throttle shift points. You have to datalog with it to see what needs tweaked.
It downshifts fine at part throttle. You don't think it's downshifting at WOT. Is that right?
Everything else is fine. Your lack of power is the alky. Trans won't fix that.
I can look at the TCU but without a datalog, it would be like you calling up Phil and saying, I don't like this chip, I'm gonna send the computer to you. Basically, without a datalog, I will have NO idea where the program needs tweaked for your setup.
Now if you think it's gonna behave like a 700 on downshifting, NO.
The gear split is not NEAR as spread out as a 700 so your not gonna get that big rediculous 4-2 downshift. It's most likely downshifting but your not feeling it because when you go WOT to force the downshift, your alky was drowning it and you had no power.
Again, without datalogging, can't see what it's doing. If you have a datamaster, run it. At least I will be able to see relative throttle position to engine behavior and road speed.
From reading your posts it really sounds like there is nothing wrong with the trans at all. You want the part throttle shift points adjusted and you need to do a bunch of tuning on the engine. Your engine has to be making torque to "pull". If it running poorly at WOT, trans can't do anything about that. Your actually down to the fun part. You've done the hard stuff.
I more than willing to help, but I'm not gonna be able to make your engine produce power. Your gonna HAVE to find a tuner on that end.
I think I know what the problem may be.
