Re: looking for input again.

Dinner.....I had 2 pitchers of beer for dinner. I was out last night with a few friends drinking. Did not get to drive it hard. Took it for a cruse and it did fine. SHifts a lot better. Feels good. I have yet to do a WOT run but I will do that today. I will keep it like this till I get the engine where I want it and when I think I need something different I will ask for your input George. Thanks.

Re: looking for input again.

did a wot run today. Did not have the datamaster hooked up so I did not get the exact rpm shift numbers but wow the truck felt good. feels like it shifts close to where it needs to be. Power was strong up to 80mph. did not go past that as it was a street not a freeway. I hope to do a 0-120 boosted run soon to see how it will do in the 1/4. I was spraying just a small amount of alky on 18lbs. did a 40-80 run too. downshifted fast and truck took off hard. Thanks george. I have a valve cover and exhaust leak to fix and I am going to the track.

Re: looking for input again.

Gary, be very careful. Guys think I'm full of crap and just acting like an old man but......2 things.

Get a frigging fire extinguisher. Methanol is BAD shit. If you a leak and it hits the exhaust manifold, it will light off. Jeggs and summit both have braided line fire suppression kits that mount under the hood on the firewall than can be activated by the driver.

Other thing. What will happen is you limited your driving behavior before because you were afraid of breaking the 700 or the front prop. I've talked to too many people, everyone to some extent does it. You will get more and more confident and really start pushing it. Just be careful of your surroundings when your playing.

Re: looking for input again.

Yep that's it.

As I rode in the back of Hardman's Ty.....
Renz's eyes are blood shot.
Neither of us can breath good as methanol and burnt rubber smoke fill the cabin.
Harman is going 120mph+ up into stopped traffic.
I'm thinking this is it. We're all gonna die as Hardman is driving with one hand, talking with the other to Renz and I'm trying to hold a powerglide trans down in the back of the truck with one hand with the other on the ceiling. Imagine looking around from the back of a truck into stopped traffic and the G's are still pulling the top half of your body over the seat. Yeah, guys get crazy when they drive without fear. When we got back, the brake lines all the way up to the ABS module were so frigging hot, Hardman jerked his hand back when he touched them.
Good times. Please be safe.

Re: looking for input again.

I am a Dad with 3 kids. I play safe. I dont drink and drive (at least not in the Sy :D )
I am just happy to have my truck running again. Thats why I kept the build simple. I figured 375ish HP cant get me into to much trouble. I had a 600hp elcamino, 500hp bel air, 415hp roush stang, and a 330hp GTP so I know how to play safe. After what happened to Dave I always think about my future first.
