Longer front propshaft?

Greetings again!

I am doing some work on my blazer putting in an awd tcase and a diff. motor. I am going to have to set the motot back a bit farther than the front prop will allow for in stock form. i am currious, would it be cheaper/as good to have a solid slug made out as a spacer to bolt in between the front prop and the axle? it seems like it would be cheap to do it that way, even balanced. it cant cost that much. any ideas?

either that or get a prop shaft from an astro van and have it shortened....
