Edit: new question.
I saw this posting http://www.code59.org/index.php?topic=1846.msg1846#msg1846

and I am wondering
1 what do I do If I cant find the download cd? I don't find any current lc1 downloads anymore only lc2
2 i guess I don't quite understand, but does this program he's showing basically tell tunerpro how to interpret the info that the wb is sending through the Ecm?

I need to connect my wideband to the Ecm and I wanted to know what other cars or trucks use the same pins as Syty?
I was hoping regular s10 would but I have googled for hours trying to find part numbers or a vehicle breakdown or a website that sells them or just any info at all and have come up with just about nothing.

Maybe I'm not wording my searchs right or what but I can't seem to find any info.

Also once I find out what cars to get them from how do you unpin them?

Not sure what vehicles had matching pins but here is a post with several part numbers for the pins (post #14).

Thank you. Seeing that thread and seeing pics of them reminded me I had on old junk sogt harness. Just checked and the pins are the same, so I'm covered.
I'm going to bet that regular s10 has the same Ecm pins, Since a sogt has The same ones.

There is also a picture in another thread of using a paper clip to remove the pin.
I have the correct GM tools to extract the pin but a paper clip just works better!

I actually had the tool also. I bought it years ago and have never needed to use it before.

You can goto: innovatemotorsports.com and download firmware and software from their site. No need for a CD it would be out of date anyway. Select the correct model. LOOK under LEGACY DEVICES.
The link you posted shows the LC-1 programming that sets the scaling for the WB to read correctly into the ecm. You also set your fuel type and other settings with that software once you download it.
Log works is the programming software. Current version is way past the version you saw on Code 59 site so the screen pictures might not match. Download located at the very top of the support page.
Find the latest firmware under: SUPPORT - LEGACY DEVICES - LC-1
The LC-1 should work with default settings but you should check the settings are correct so you don't have problems later because something is dorked up in the settings and throws everything off. In Tunerpro you also have to turn on the correct WB and make sure no other WB is selected at the same time.

I have to update my LC-1 myself so glad you posted.

No kidding, I was on the innovate site the other day and only saw firmware downloads for lm2 lc2. I assumed they phased out all things pertaining to 1's. Guess I didn't look deep enough. Thanks for that.
I'll go have a look right now.

The software part is still a little confusing to me but might make more sense once I download it.

Thank you for helping and all the info :)

NP glad to help. I remember trying to figure all this Sh!t out on my own. Was mind bending. I'll probably download and update my WB I'm the next couple of days myself I think everything is ver1 and still working. Learn how to clean air calibrate your wide band in the directions. Most important task to learn for accuracy as the LC-1 is one of the few that calibrate.

Re: LC1 with code59 Users chime in please.

ive had the lc1 in it for a few yrs so i know all about the calibrations. i learned the hard way recently because apparently if you unhook the battery or the sensor from the cable it automatically thinks its in calibration mode, so you are forced to calibrate. i didn't know that and couldnt figure out why it was reading all wonky so i called tech support and they told me that.

i can certainly imagine it was a nightmare to learn all this junk on your own.
im typically to impatient for something like tuning the car myself but theres just no one around here willing to do it anymore so i just have to learn....it bites.

I'm used to old school tuning, this computer stuff is new and confusing

Re: LC1 with code59 Users chime in please.

The LC-1/LM-1 is what most engine mfg's made us use at work. I recommend PLX to most people who ask me what do I buy? Because PLX is easy. No calibration/no settings = easy. The innovate is much more complex but does not suffer from sensor degradation because you calibrate it to keep accuracy. I use to set up diesel, gas engines and turbines running on diesel, JP5, natural gas, propane, kerosene, and gas all which were covered by the innovate products.

Re: LC1 with code59 Users chime in please.

Wow I didn't realize they were used in some many applications and were superior in that respect. I kept wondering why everyone was suggesting plx. Now I know.

I just did the log works and lm programmer downloads and now I'm starting to wish I had a plx for the simplistics of starting out.
The worst part is there's no one local I can really ask about this stuff so all I have is you experienced fellas on here. Which is fine but I'm way out of my element here and sometimes it's easier and quicker to call someone. Especially if I'm in the middle of doing something and get stuck.

At that point I'm on hold until someone gets a chance to respond to my posting.

I'm gonna try and get the WB connected to the Ecm tomorrow and maybe do some in the driveway logging and see if I can figure this $hit out lol

Oh and if this all isn't bad enough I'm going to try to learn to tune, but I have to learn with a methanol system. Im afraid I'll have pulled all my hair out by the time I get this stuff all figured out.

50/50 water meth on pump gas 93...or 91 I forget what we have around here anymore.

E85 is non existent around here. Plus I don't wanna re invent my fuel system

So you have a methanol injection setup right? Sent you a PM check for that.

Yep I just finished the install friday. It's an alky control kit
I decided to buy the pre mixed snow boost juice because it's precisley measured out and will have the most consistency over mixing myself. So the tune shouldn't vary from tank to tank

The Alkycontrol is a nice kit. He gives good support also. I have installed a few for others.

Nice, yea I heard a lot of good things about them from Syty and Buick owners. I had it sitting on my shelf for 4 yrs and finally decided now that the truck was going back together it was time to get it installed. I like the fact that it's tailored to each car instead of a universal try and make it fit for your application deal like a lot of the others are.

I'm excited to get everything going, just dreading the journey to a solid safe tune

Re: LC1 with code59 Users chime in please.

Pm finally came through. Thank you very much, I may take you up on that. I really appreciate it!!
What's up with the code59 forum? Seems like it's been dead for a few yrs. I know the guys running it can't always be on there but it seems like the traffic and users just died off.
