Just installed new plugs

Installed ac cr42ts over the weekend, stomped on it for the first time yesterday and feels like there is a miss. Grounded all 6 plug wires on dist. cap (new last month). Can hear a distinct miss at idle. When I hold my hand a few inches from exhaust, can feel a puff every once in a while. Still sounds like a miss, right? Have read on the sight about cr43ts plugs, any better? Regardless, should not miss.

Check the plugs for cracks and the plug wires for damage. Ignition problems are very common. Use a good set of wires like Taylor Spiro-pro's and a good cap and rotor like the conrad unit from autozone. The many FAQ's floating around address the ignition over and over again. There's a good reason for that :)

Do not use cr43ts plugs. Use cr42ts, NGK ur5, ur6, ur5ix or ur6ix spark plugs. Those are all plugs that I have personally seen work well and would recommend (I have tried all but the ur5ix in my own truck).

Thanks, I was thinking a wire could have gotten damaged. It is a Conrad cap and rotor. I'll pull the plugs tomorrow and look for the wet spot. Where in Pa are you?

I was just wondering, what are the negative affects of using the cr43ts plugs? and just to clarify, those are the ac delco rapid fires right?

cr43ts is a hotter plug leading to the possibility of more pre-ignition.

They are not rapid fire's.

Pulled plugs today. Two of them had scorch marks on porcelin below electrode. Good thing I bought 8. Runs like a sumbitch now, better than before plugs. Also drilled (4) 1 3/8" holes in air intake. Gonna go for a spin in a few.
