Had truck in reverse applying torque(but not boost) playing in the snow and ice and "bang", no reverse. Linkage is good. I have foward but no reverse. It won't go to 2nd gear ubtil 3200 rpm. goes into 2nd and 3rd ok. It will not shift into OD. ran it up to 4500 in 3rd but no shift. When I let off the gas it goes to idle (85-90 mph) and coasts w/ no decel. I put the selector in 3rd and it is fine. accel and decel was OK other than the high rpm to go to 2nd gear. So now its coming out but where do I look. I'm thinking over run cluth??? Anyone pointing me in the right direction for what I broke will be a big help.

Thats a weird one.. I'm not sure whats common between R and 4th gear.. Maybe this chart will help you..

I've had this happen to me twice before in two different vehicles. You likely broke the sun shell, or at least that's what my internet symptom diagnosis is.

replace it with a beast
