info on Ecotech3 swap

not sure if its the right place but its an engine question, or let me know where would be a better place.

Has anyone thought of doing this? it would be nice to keep it a V6, lose some weight, and have a 6 bolt mains in the truck. id also like to keep the stock instrument cluster. what sort of ecm would i need for this?

It appears to be quite involved. Not sure I've even seen an obd1 swap with working gauges, etc yet. Guess you get to be the first?

If you do this, Howell has a swap harness for the new 4.3L already.

I came across a company that specializes in these swaps. I meant to post the link, but never made it over here. I'll see if I can find it again.

Did you ever find any info yourself?

If anyone could help with the swap, they probably could. That's only a link to a harness but I'm sure you could go on their Facebook or email/call them and get some help with it all. Ever if just knowledge about what's needed to complete the swap, etc...
