How can you tell if you have an Indy Typhoon?

There was no such thing as an INDY Typhoon..

There were a handful of INDY Syclones made.. And I have actually seen one first hand (since I live here in Indy, pace cars are NOT that uncommon to see) Graphic Concepts makes(made) the vinyl I believe if you are truly interested you could contact them and have a set made up. If memory serves me correctly I believe MERK did this on his Ty, although I dont believe its still exists this way..

The only reason I said I have one, is cuz I live here in Indy. :grin: :grin:

Thanks, The info in the FAQ said they made an unknown # of them in 92 and they were white on white. The 92 I am looking it is white/white with no paint work. Just curious.

there WERE Indy Typhoons made....

there isnt an exact number of exactly how many were "converted"...but its guessed to be around 50 or less...

the Indys were used in the CART season and given away to the winners of the races...

hence, why Merkman converted his ty to Indy style...which only lasted a day :smile:

Indy racer Stefan Johansson owns an Indy ty...

Thanks for the help. Those things are super rare. What is to keep someone from making a 92 clone and passing it off as the real thing?

unfortunately, nothing probably, unless you had Merk or someone who REALLY knows what to look for.

Didn't Rockford Racecraft do the mods on the Indy Typhoons? Maybe he has records of the mods or how many he did.
