How do you lock out the Torque Converter?

I am trying to figure out if the Torque Converter on my truck is becoming unlocked at the wrong time. I was told that you can jump the ALDL to lock the TC. I have searched, maybe my seraching skills are rookie status but I have yet to find anything. Does anyone know how to do this and cane give a decent instruction. Please PM with any response or post here of course. Trying to work on the Ty today. Thanks!

To Engage the Transmission Converter Clutch (TCC) - Terminals (A) and (F).
Install two wires with a switch, connecting the a and f terminals of the aldl port.
those are the top left and the top right squares of the port.
if your unfamiliar with the aldl port it is under the dash board just right of the steering wheel.
