well, i think there might be 2 kinds of wires from Holly. I had there 9mm ones, what ever they were called. They were good performing, but crappy construction. even with a boot puller the straight boots still got messed up beyond further use. The Taylors i got now seem to kick ass though...
With ATR headers you will need to use all 90 deg boots, so get a V8 universal set and make them up yourself, then you have 2 spare wires. All for the same price as V6 set.

The Holleys are no great shakes as sold. BW is probably right about the arcing. I haven't actually seen it but my top end is not as consistent as with the ATR's. The resistance values of the Holleys are half that of the ATR's so they should be better.
I am going to do a tune up soon. I am going to remove the showy metal boot covers. (I think they are the source of any arcing.) I will run with the old plugs and check with DM. Then I have got the UR6IX's to put in. It may be interesting.
Are we talking generic Holley wires here or the special SyTy sets that were distributed at the Nats a few years ago and still occasionally available through a group purchase from Steve? I have a set of the latter I was planning to run on my Sy. I'll relegate them to the Ty though if there is a lot of negative feedback on them. Sure do look purdy though...
I bought mine (two sets) through Steve earlier last year. They are pudgy. Like I said, measured resistence is half that of the ATR's I removed. (I still have 'em and may use them in the future.)
I think the arcing is the downfall. I would bet it is from the metal covers.
