I put on a new ic pump today that i picked up at walmart and nothing. i had no ic movement in the am so i put the new one on. i had thought the pump went bad because it was working a few day ago. i dont know what it would be i just routed the lines around the back of the engine bay by the windshield and down the fender to the pump 1 line each and no bends at all. is the a fuse for the pump or how should it turn on. i just put the new pump on and spliced the brown and black wires onto the brown black conector and plugged it in. is there something i am missing? i looked for a fuse but did not see any that could be for the ic. any help would be great.

thanks

first of all, what pump did you get from walmart? -sounds hokey

the fuse for the ic is in a fuse holder behind or attatched to the alternator.

I think black is POWER, brown is GROUND on the ic pump connector.. grman thing if i remember correctly?

also, unless you jumper the relay or connect the top two horizontal ports on the aldl connector, it wont turn on till the engine temp gets to like 180 degrees

the pump is a atwood 500 areator pump, i was told by a board member that it is the same thingand would work better then the surflow.

is the fuse the one on the top drivers side of the alt? if so i will check that tonight.

i dont understand the other part youl were talking about (also, unless you jumper the relay or connect the top two horizontal ports on the aldl connector, it wont turn on till the engine temp gets to like 180 degrees)

how is this done? and what wire is it? the one that plugs into the exchanger with the little metal piece on the end? or the brown black wire?
thanks

the aldl is under the dash, use a paperclip to connect the top right two ports together.

otherwise, to keep the ic pump on all the time the ignition is on, ground the yellow wire on the ic pump relay that is on the firewall left/center under the hood.

only yellow there.

there is 2 yellow wires is it the one that goes to the big black box or the one that goes to the 2 relays? also do you just cut it and ground it some place or do you do something else with it?

also the alsl box id that under the drivers dash that you would connect a data cable to at a dealership to find error codes? and you said the top right 2 need to be jumped, is that the top row of 2 and the last 2 next to each other by the passanger side of the box? and just one more ? do you leave the jumpers in it or just to see if it is working?

thanks

I think I got it now on the yellow wire I would just cut some of the wire cover off so the wire itself is expossed and T a wire off of that to a ground??

thanks a bunch all :p
