Help, going transfer case hunting.

I am going transfer case hunting tomorrow and would like to know what I should look for. Searching on car-part.com for Bravada cases it asks for 3 1/2" or 4 1/2" output flange. Which one do I want, that is the same as the Sy/Ty?. Also, I was told that the Astro van cases are different in some way, possibly the output slip yoke being a different size or different spline, is this true? Should I avoid the Astros? Finaly, what is a reasonable price?

I have a Sy Transfer Case FS $250. The Astrovan of the same year are the same as SyTy tcase. The difference in tcase's is the spline on the drive shaft. There are 2 tcase one for 91 and earlier (sy's) or 92 and later (Ty). For price reasonable junkyard are asking 200-400 for them.

Thanks for the offer but I ended up picking one up today. A real big junkyard in Aurora IL, City Auto used parts, they have a few of them. The price was $350 + tax it was $372.75... a little pricey.. I only had 225 with me so I owe my dad $140 now :-?
