This is not really a Sy/Ty problem, but what's most 11's or 10's Sy/Ty use? Are they still using stockers? If so, what compound is the stocker made of (graphite, metal, copper,....)? Thanks in advance!!

We really don't have a headgasket blowing prob like the Buick's do so I will say a stocker (Victor) or a FelPro will be fine.

on the subject of headgaskets i have heard people talking of o-ringing thier block/heads to prevent blown headgaskets, is this not really necessary on the sy/ty setup??

Not IMO. 5 bolts per cylinder provides some serious clamping. I've ran 20-22psi on stock gaskets, ~550hp or so, they didn't budget. I wouldn't consider o ringing until you were considering a max effort, very high boost application.

You can get both heads done for a few hundred bucks at the most. Its nice to have it if you have the extra cash. IMO you need to go to a metal gasket when you do this. I dont have it on my truck but have had it done on other projects. I think its more popular in the buick crowd.
