If anyone have a picture of a Sy with grandsport wheels on it please post. I am trying to decide whether or not I want to change from the stock look. Thanks.

Check in the member's rides section right here. There are prolly a few trucks with them  The only real difference between those and the ZR-1s are the GS are black. Jim Longwidth is now a dealer for ZR-1s and they might be available in black from him. I know http://www.afswheels.com has them in black.

There are more specifics if you're talking factory C4 rims. Besides being black, the GS rim was made for one year ('96) and the 11" rim has a 50mm offset. ZR1s came from '90-'95 and the 11" rim has a 36mm offset.

Ok so which rim fits the best being that we have such an awkward offset? ZR-1's or GS's. I have seen debates on the 50mm GS wheels and the 36mm ZR-1 wheels.

The 17 x 9.5" comes in +56mm or +38mm. The +56mm fits the front best and the +38mm fits the rear best. You could use the +56mm on the rear also with a 1.25" spacer and that way you could rotate wheels. The 17 x 11" comes in +50mm and +36mm. ONLY use the +50mm in the 17 x 11" for the rears.

Why does everyone like those little 17's ? Doesn't anyone have 18's on their Ty?

18's usually have a higher overall wheel hieght, which brings down the gearing and require speedo gear changes. 18's usually have a stffer ride.

18" + rims hurt performance, that's why. 17" rims strike a good balance between performance and appearance.
