GM Auto Track II

I was searching the net for AWD binding and ran across this thread: how to top binding AWD

According to the thread, GM Auto Track II transfer case fluid fixed the front wheel binding issue. I'm hoping this will solve my problem.

That fluid is specifically for the AutoTrak series of Tcases. Those cases are "On Demand" boxes built by New Venture (NV), basically a standard 4x4 box with a big clutch that kicks the front output on and off. They're completely and totally different than the TCase thats in the Ty's and Sy's (BW 4472 which has a viscous coupling instead).

So, unless you're running a NV 136, NV 236, or NV 246 this probably won't help you. If it does, I'd be REALLY suprised, since the VC is a sealed unit.

BTW, Mopar has a very similar product. It was recommended by Rockland for use in my NV146 tcase when I put it in. Supposed to work better. Both the Mopar and GM products are expensive. (I bought the stuff 2+ years ago, and it was $11 and $14 a quart then). Maybe it's come down some.
