Funny Short Problem

So, I haven't been on here in a while. I'd lost interest in my typhoon and was actually hoping that it caught on fire.

Anyway, I have a short problem that is ruining my expensive AGM battery. Whenever I turn on the headlights, or more specifically the turn indicator lights, I've got a short. The speedometer and the WBO2 gauge jump around whenever the turn signal blinks. That, and the windshield solvent pump kicks on with every blink and the wipers start sweeping my filthy windshield. It's quite comical.

Where should I start? Is there a likely culprit or condition?

Salutations to you guys... haven't spoken with anyone here in a long time.

Hey Sam good to see you are still alive.:D
You must have pinched something putting the motor in. If you want I can bring my manual and help troubleshoot your problem. LMK

I'm going to say your turn signal switch/stalk is no good since all your problems revolve around it. Replace that first.

Ya, it's got a Turbo
Re: Funny Short Problem

Does it matter which signal is on, left or right?
You could try removing the fuse for each effected circuit one at a time (pull the t/s fuse for example) and then see if your wipers still go crazy.
A bad t/s switch doesn't explain your speedo / w/band issues.

Thanks for the replies! I was drunk when I posted the thread, and almost forgot that I had put it up!

I'll check the grounds to see if I'm not connected anywhere I can see.

Now I'm really motivated to either get this thing running or get rid of it. We just found out that my special lady friend got a job in Santa Fe, and we're moving there soon. She'll be there in a month, and I'll head down after school ends (for good) in December.

Wade: I'd certainly be open to the idea of your help. You always seem to have a focused approach to problem solving with these trucks. Plus, if you came up here, I'd actually take time to work on the truck instead of complaining about it and doing nothing with it.

If it were me, I would trace your WB wiring first. It is an aftermarket install and will be way easier to check.
