heres my ?my front shaft has a ripped boot it is factory gm do i replace the boots and keep the factory one 'thought it might be stronger' or do i buy new aftermarket

See if you can get GM boots. The tool is pretty cheap to install the bands. Pep boys has it.
The curvey looking aftermarket boots don't seem to hold up too well. My stock boots lasted over 120K miles. When my driver side tore, I used aftermarket kit from Pep Boys. Lasted about 2K and tore open again. Went back and used the GM boot. Still holding.
