Front dif case sealant

Don W.

Stab it and steer it
For about the third time I've got the front dif out to try to stop it from leaking at the case half's. Not much but still a leak and I know it's not the seals or side plates. What do you guys use. I was thinking of making a very thin gasket then readjusting the carrier bearing to compensate.

Thanks.

Re: Front dif case sealant

I would think anaerobic sealant would be ideal, but I haven't tried it on a front diff.

I have used Yamabond 4 with success. It is available at most Yamaha dealers.

x's 2. That stuff is great. I don't even think of using anything else. When I wrenched for Honda we used it.
