Hi guys my freind just got a syclone. I love this truck. We are trying to find out why its not shifting right away from the 2-3 shift. He had a 3 inch exhaust ,chip with bigger injectors boost builder for launching. When he launches it feels good, then when going from 2-3 it feels likes its stuck at a rev limiter at 4000. Then it shifts after about a sec. I was wondering if this is trannsmission related or fuel cut or something. Please help we are trying to get it running top notch. We already tried the tv adjustment and it still does it. Do these trucks have a fuel cut after so much boost. Manually we shift it and it doesnt hesitate but it only revs to 4000. In first it will rev higher. Im thinking its something to do with fuel cut. Thanks for any help sorry if I sound like a noob im just new to these trucks. 1st day ever even riding in one.

Were located in west palm fl. I will get the truck # tonight.Do you guys think we should start off with a new govener first. By the way this only happens on the 2-3 shift at wot and it will shift once he lets off the throttle.

the stock rev limiter wont come in until about 4800. your boost builder/chip combo could be the reason. the trans should shift higher than 4k. so my guess is it's related to the bolt on gadgets you have installed on the truck.

hey guys new member here and proud owner of truck # 1772 with 53,700 miles(52600 when i bought it but had a thousand mile drive home from pittsburgh) . u might see that number attached to boostaddicts name but thats mine too i just never got a varification email so i could never post.
im not quite sure what chip it has cause the previous owner only told me it has the chip for the 40lb injectors it has . every part on the truck is kenny bell(All minor bolt ons... kb boost a pump, clutch switch,intercooler switch, kb intake, adj. fuel reg ) , no other work all stock. besides for the little shift prob between 2-3 which im finding out could be a thousand things( gunna start trouble shooting tomorrow) the truck is great, SUPER clean if anybody follows syclones on ebay thats where i got it. i'll post some pics soon if anybody is interested.

what chip should i get? the previous owner said every other chip will f it up, but he is old and probably isnt up to date w the technology??? the 10-1 looks like a good choice, what injectors 50?
also can i just take the chip and injectors out and return it to stock with no problems, or will it not run correctly

1) tune up. cap/rotor/plugs/wires
2) datamaster. learn it, love it, live it.
3) get rid of that kb chip (if that's what's really in there)
4) find someone in south fla that can help (ie: GAShanock in Miami)
5) take it easy until you figure it out or you will have a nice paperweight of a truck
