Flexplate Replace?

I have been trying to solve a noise problem on my TY. I finally located it, the Flexplate has cracked! Can I slide the converter back and get to the 6 bolts? Will the bolts have enough room to come out, and will the Flexplate come out? Or do I have to pull eng. or trans. to replace flexplate? Thanks!

you can do it by pulling the tranny back just far enough from the motor. you dont have to take it all the way out.

but it does have to be removed from the motor and slid back about 6 inches min.

Thanks man! It's 2:00 a.m. and I got it done. For future reference, the trans. has to move back 1 inch and the converter back tight to make room. The Flexplate can be changed without too much effort then. Peace!
