First race NOS cobra

Well fellas i just got back from a street race where i race a 97 svt cobra that had a 100 shot of nos and i held my own in the little sy!!! we line up on the road and he wanted to go on 3 and my passanger counted to three and i only built like 3 pounds of boost and then were off. i pulled like 3 cars on him off tthe line and when i looked down and we were up to about 75 or 80 and he was at my passanger door and then i looked at the tack and i was about to red line 3rd becasue of the famous 3-4 non wot up shift and i shut down and then he kept going. Everyone that saw knew that i won and he was like what the hell is in that thing. But i think that the little sy held her own considering that she has 133,000 miles on the orginal motor and turbo thats has never been rebuilt. but i was all in fun he was a good guy and was shocked
later and be careful becuase after i race he raced a 12 sec. civic and then the cops showed up so we just home and i thought that they were watching the whole thing but the cobra ran and my boy in the civic got arrested so becareful out there

I don't know what you mean. The SyTy tranny is supposed to shift into 4th at WOT and I have 50,000 on my original tranny and it ALWAYS shifts into 4th at WOT. Otherwise you can't go faster than about 98 MPH!!? Methinks your tranny is on its way out, not bad for 130,000 though!

I don't know what you mean. The SyTy tranny is supposed to shift into 4th at WOT and I have 50,000 on my original tranny and it ALWAYS shifts into 4th at WOT. Otherwise you can't go faster than about 98 MPH!!? Methinks your tranny is on its way out, not bad for 130,000 though!

3rd gear+TC locked@~113mph=~5250RPM. It can happen.

pay attention son! lots of old trannys wont shift into OD at WOT. its a common problem.

No this is the 4th trany that has been in it but i don't think that the guy who built it made it do a 3-4 shift at wot but i just know that it don't shift
oh i almost forgot say that my truck is completly stock from the exhaust to the factory intake but the only mod is a drop in K&N filter.
No my tranny isn't on the way out becasue it shifts so hard that it makes stuff in the dash rattle!!! Jonathan sy#2716

You should take your own advice on paying attention 8)

FWIW, the guy posted, it seems his tranny builder did not build the tranny properly to include 3-4 WOT upshift.

We advised you to not enter in stock class.

What are the parts that i need to get so that it will shift into 4th?
