Differences in Sy and Ty cladding.....

This came up in conversation in another thread, nad thought this may be useful in the future.

This comparison is looking at the rear wheel arch cladding. They ARE different, from a Sy to a Ty.

Look at the areas where it bolts up to the other cladding. The Ty has 3 holes, and is smooth across from one edge to the other. The Sy has only 1 hole, and a notch inbetween the 2 edges. I stuck a piece of paper in the Sy rear arch, to help show how it's notched.

The tabs are in different spots. Notice the gap between the tabs and the bottom of the lip. Highlighted here with yellow and lime green.

The Typhoon rear arch is slightly longer, like 5/8".

Is this a new discovery? Did anyone think that the wheel arches were the same?

Good info, but your pics and your paint shop skills could be better. :rotf:

These pieces are the same: Door uppers, front fender arches, and bumpers.

All others are different.
