code 42, what's it's cause?

Why would I get a code 42? EST Monitor Error. This was on this DM run http://www.joshhill.net/Images/8.uni

Check out how to interpret ALDL data here: http://www.sportmachines.com/maintenance/aldl.html Check the tan wire with the black stripe that you have to disconnect to adjust the timing on the passenger side, it may be disconnected... HTH

It's just a stored code from when you had the tan wire disconnected to set your timing. Mine has the code 42 stored too but if I unhook the battery for a few minutes, it will clear the code.

I just pull the ECM fuses- my stereo's a pain to reset.

I don't know why it would be stored? After I check the timing I alway's unhook the batt. Since I didn't check the timing before the run make's it ever more weird.
