I just replaced my stock IC pump with a new Jabsco and removed the metal lines and put in heater hose. The problem is that when I put in the new coolant the pump seems to be barely moving it. I filled the intercooler up all the way and the coolant moves a little. Could there be air in the system or is there a secret to getting is started?

I am teh kingpin!
could be air, i know daron fliped is lower IC, so the peacock was up, so he could let the air out.

also you made sure the pump is sucking and not pushing?

also, look for kinks behind the upper ic, it really likes to kink there, and below on where the pump and IC meet.

just turn the switch on and off untill you can hear that it is flowing. i had the same problem and this worked for me. also make sure you have it wired right.

How do you have the hoses routed? Start with the output of the pump and go thru it....

Well today i took the intercooler out and elevated it to see if that would help, and it seems it has, the air is slowly bubbling out and i dont hear as much in the pump. I routed the output of the pump to the top of the intercooler and the bottom of the intercooler to the lower IC. Also i ran both of the hear hose lines through the passenger side fender wall.

Try routing the lines down the drivers side. You can have a nice curving arc, as opposed to the 90 degree bends when you go to the passengers side. My hoses go over the cap and rotor, below the master cylinder and then follow the original routing afterwards.
