Can the trans be pulled with the engine?

Big project on the horizon. I'd ike to pull the enging trans, and transfer cs eout in one shot. Is this possible? Or do I have to separate them under the truck first.

I want top pull the whole drive train out to put into somthing else.

In a nut shell, what's the fastest way to do this?

assuming you have a ty? i removed my engine and trans, and transfer case in one shot....but i seperated the body from the frame first (on a ty)...you might be better off removing at least the front clip (hood,fenders, and radiator support) if youre gonna attempt to remove the drivetrain...what's it going into?

Currently I have a '93 Typhoon engine, trans, transfer, rear rims, ABS in an '87 S10 Blazer (with 63, XXX on the odometer.)

I (will) have a 93 Sonoma 4X4 extended cab with a 4.3 auto. The goal is to put the turbo 4.3 into the pick up. -and the N/A 4.3 into the '87.

Locally I propositioned several mechanics to do this swap for me offering the N/A truck as payment, but no one is interested? (WTF?). So it seems I have to execute this one myself with what miniscule time I have for the swap.

I thought I would ask if this is possible to save time. I figured the rad and support, front clip would have to come off, but this seems easier than dropping the tranfer case and trans just to bolt it right back on. I just hope the cherry picker can go high enough
