i recently got the HKS SSBOV and have a few questions.

1. since i am running the dequick dual-air-to-air system, which size and type of welding flange should i use?

2. how does this thing sound when the truck lets off the boost/gas compared to the stock air-filter-flutter

3. where the hell can i get the installation/operational instructions in English? they only came in Japanese?

1. Use the aluminum flange. It only comes in one size.

2. It sounds 1000 times better than the super shitty stock sound. Has a nice wailing whistle and part throttle and low boost. Has a very sharp and loud pssshhh at high boost. It makes joggers jump off the sidewalk into the grass.

3. E-mail me and I can give you English instructions.

They are real easy to install.

I dont have pictures of my bov off the flange, so if you do, send em to my email.

Im not about to take it off just to take a pic of it.

put 0 ring in flange, stick bov/snap ring in flange, get snap ring to sit. bolt on truck, attatch vacuum line to front manifold source before a check valve, throw away filter thingie.

Let off gas.
smile.
repeat.

another thing-

a bunch of fellows swear that these things leak, whats your experince tyler?

They will eventually being to leak a bit from HUGE airflow. Stock and medium sized turbos you should be ok. They leak on DSM's at 25+ lbs. They leak on big turbo Supras, so most people get two. I haven't experienced any leaking with mine. My suggestion - try it, if it leaks, get another one and be super loud. I think you'll be fine tho.

Hmmmm, didn't realize it was that big. I guess you could try it and see. Make sure you have solid boost first - then put the BOV on and if you notice a change you'll know it's leaking. You'll hear it too. If you want no worries, get the HKS Racing BOV.
