Not alot of people put a manual type of boost management system on their truck's unless the have an external WG or running a stand alone ECU. Our stock ECM and map-sensor can only read 14.3 or so lbs of boost. If your planning on cranking it up with a manual boost controler just make sure you have insurance. FP, AFPR, and a well tuned truck and a computer that can read it. If you try and go past this point with a manual boost controller thus bypassing the computer controlled boost you will get a fuel cut witch is bad for the motor and also results in alot of knock. If your truck is not performing up to par, (and I'm not singleing you out or anything you my not know) find out why. In natural form a Sy/Ty should and have in the past run low 13's stock. Cranking up the boost is not going to help. It will promote more knock thus possibly damaging other vital internals. In the end it could cost more money than periodical tune up's to keep it running well. HTH

My $0.02, buy and Ultimate chip, it has a electrical boost controller built into it, it also add fuel and the esentials needed to run more boost. First check the FAQ's and see the must do first mods.

If I need correction please do so by all means.

Roberto, do you have access to a scan tool? Datamaster or Diacom? Your truck should be in the 14 psi range for a stock motor. How many miles are on it? Rebuilt turbo? Checked Vac lines around turbo and manifold it's self? Zip ties on all vaclines holding them in place? New vac lines? Where is your boost gauge tapped from? Try and take the WG rod back to where it was. from what I understand by shortening it your keeping the WG puck open, this is letting gas bypass the wheel not spinning it as fast and this could be why the boost is not at par. Someone correct me on that one if I'm out of line, it's 1:30 am and it was a long day at work. So I'm feeling like this guy right now -->

A manual valve will cause it to ocasionally overboost. Try tightening the rod some more turns.

But to answer your question: www.boostvalve.com

I'm using one on my Honda F-12X (turbo 4 stroke jet ski) and it works great.

<cough>
Excuse me?

honda turbo

www.hondamotorcycles.com/models/2002/index.html?model_number=ARX1200T3

The website above has the details, but it's a three seater, in-line 4 cylinder, 4 stroke, double overhead cam, 4 valve/cylinder, turbo charged, and intercooled. 165 hp at 13 psi boost. It's so smooth and quiet that you can't tell it's running at idle. And it turns like a F1 race car. It definately raised the bar for PWC.

Jim Longwith

P.S. Tell e about the RZ. I've got an RZ350, Kenny Roberts replica.

Holy shit dude, I never even knew about that...
Do they have any turbo 2-stroke PWC's?
2-stroke junkie here...

The RZ is my third.
Wrapped one around the guardrails at 50... not good.
This one is the baddest so far.
Recarbed, ported, cases matched, 15 tooth front.
It's black/yellow but not the KR.
I bought it to put the turbo motor into it though.
It's basically a banshee sandrail plant w/welded crank, fuel injection and turbo...
Don't know about the manifolds yet, that seems the most challenging.
It's parked until I sell some turbo cars.
Know any buyers?

Honda will only be building 4 strokes PWC. The 2 strokes are being banned for "environmental reasons" in some areas.

The turbo RZ sounds like one heck of a project. Let me know when you get it going. I've been wanting to get an RZ500 to go with the RZ350. I've test riden a couple but have not found the right one yet.

What are you asking for the Buicks?

$3000 for the TR
$10000 for the GN
$10000 for the SY

Help!
:)

The project is on hold 'til the cars get sold.
Plus the motor is 6 grand for the RZ!
ARGH!

of course 160hp and 300lbs is a good combo...
:)
