I think my truck was possessed tonight. I’ve only had my truck for about 2 months now. And six weeks of that it was on jack stands waiting for the wheels to be chromed. While it was on the stands I installed a new vacuum harness, and added a boost gauge just got it on the road 3 days ago and I noticed that the maximum boost it was getting was 10-11 pounds, then tonight on my home I had it at WOT and all of a sudden the boost jumped to like 18 pounds and then leveled off around to like 14-15. Now at the same time as the spike in boost my radio when out for a second and the headlights dimmed and came back. Next I look at my tach and it has moved past the 7000 redline and is resting on the stock boost gauge not moving at all no matter what throttle I was at. I then was like WTF and stuck it in neutral turned it off then back on and it fixed itself. However from there home the boost was still maxing out at 15-16 pounds and sometimes spiking to 18 or so. During all of this the check engine light never came on. I don’t know if this could have affected it but when it did this the engine was still cold and it was like 55 degrees outside. Anyone have any idea whats going on with my truck???
