L35's started in 93 and went thourh 95 for the S series. 96 and up were true vortec's

Is there an advantage to having an L35 block vs. a stock block?

some ppl say the L35 block is weaker and BC of the balance shaft your not going to make as much power. I dont know if this is true but the balance shaft motors will definatly limit your choices in cam shafts. just find an old block and you'll be fine.
