Best location for meth nozzle?

I just got the snow performance stage3 kit I am having trouble deciding where to put the nozzle. I was thinking about tapping a hole in my egr delete plate at an angle but not sure if that's optimal. I am doing it on my truck now to figure out if I will like it and if I like it I will do a really nice hidden install in my truck that I am restoring. I don't want to modify my intake and not like meth. There is a nipple on the throttle body but I think that's the coolant passage. What would you suggest?

If you have stock intercooler, I'd tap into the turbo to intercooler hose.

You drill a hole in the intercooler just before the throttle body. You want to get it close to the intercooler so the rubber will still fit between the two. You can notch the end of the rubber if needed.

I have one in my pile of parts. I used before I went to a A/A intercooler.

This.Well I'll admit the JSM crew did mine,but that was EXACTLY what they did.

It was mostly just Jeff doe. I really hope that guy found a non degenerate woman by now. :dunno:

Jimmy never ceases to provide entertainment. I think I found a good one now though.

DO NOT install in EGR blockoff, you will not get even distribution to all cylinders and will be adding a new motor to your list of projects.

prior to tb is best so that all cylinders get a very even flow of meth.

On the topic of meth, some syty folks tend to know more about meth than others, and sometimes more than 1 kind of meth.

BTW the cops were so cool they never even tagged my deed as a meth house.

I got it cleaned right the **** up

It was just a 20 oz bottle on my workbench.

After this (the second pic) I notched the clamp a bit. Otherwise you're either not clamping on the IC or very close to the edge.

I'm trying not to put any holes in anything till I decide I like it or not. I Just want to test, I don't want to have to fix a hole if I don't like it. I have a plan for a permanent install in the new body

Do you remember what size drill you used...etc? Looks like a good place to install the method kit....:tup:

Pooling shouldn't happen.

Disclaimer: I have only installed Razor Meth set ups but I believe the SNOW works the same tapping into the MAP for vacuum/boost levels.

It should only be spraying with boost blowing the mist into the Throttle Body.
So no it shouldn't pool with the controller working off of MAP.

Another install note and a disclaimer and a head scratcher: The intake air temp sensor is directly behind the throttle body in the upper intake. Julio of Razor meth suggests moving the sensor so that the intake air temps are taken before the meth nozzle and so it is not sprayed onto it. (again I have only installed "Razor" brand of Meth set ups). I also know of two people who run Razor set ups one with the sensor moved and one without and both work fine so you decide.

To spray the meth so it will actually work that is what you are going to have to do.

I bought another intercooler and drilled a hole in it so I would not ruin my original. But then went A/A. So I am not using any of them.

No, don't know the drill size. But the nozzle is threaded into the IAC so you can just pick a drill that's a bit smaller. It's basically clamped in-place by the fitting on the outside anyway so it's not going anywhere.

Meth WILL pool if I push the test button with the motor idling. It goes way rich quickly.

RE the IAT sensor. For you tuner gurus doesn't the chip deliver fuel, to some extent at least, based on IAT? Meaning cold IAT = more fuel? So if we're measuring hot IAT and delivering cold (because we're downstream of the meth inj) won't it have a tendency to go lean?

Just a pure curiosity question.

these trucks need methanol injection if you want to turn the boost up. my truck on 91 octane funs 18psi at 14* timing without meth (any higher knocks). with meth I run 22psi and 24* timing and a 55hp shot of nitrous. with 110 octane and meth I run 24psi, 24* timing and 100hp nitrous shot. built bottom end.
