ATR Aux IC generic equivalent ????????

I've been told that there IS a generic equivalent to the kit that ATR sells for an AUX IC (OEM Fluid IC).... I think someone said it was a HAYDEN cooler...

How does it work with the 3/4" size heater hose and does anyone have A PART NUMBER ???

I already have the shurflo.. While my Ty is re-inventing itself in the garage this winter this was on my "MODS LIST" to accomplish...

If you know the part# please let me know !

I don't like using tranny coolers for water based fluid cooling. Tranny fluid is an oil, coolant is a water based fluid. Talk to Ron Gregory about the Hayden as he did some research into the matter and found that the one folks were using included a "turbulator" in the fluid path. If I recall correctly, the company said this turbulator not compatable with a water based fluid.
I had luck years back with a good flowing heater core mounted up front.
Good luck,
Daron

Do you not run this any more? Are you air to air or have you found something better now?

Thanks, Zac

I removed the heater core setup in preparation for the installation of a motorcycle radiator. This motorcycle radiator had a built in fan, and had some mounts already attached. It had 3/4 inch hose barbs ( or maybe the metric equivlant). Anyway, the dude was gonna remove it from the wrecked bike for me. When I returned he had sold the whole bike, along with my radiator. Bitches...
So, thinking I would eventually hook up with another bike radiator, I put the truck back together, plumbed like stock. The next day I decdied to try the ol' Heater core inside the truck trick. I plumbed the lines so the IC coolant runs thru the heater core in the cab. Turn the AC on, and crank up the heater control so the heater door comes open and you have AC cooled IC. I didnt have luck with that setup, as my heater core under the dash isnt stock. It really slows the flow down. I found out when testing different cores for the Aux CCHE, that some cores just dont flow as well as others.
So, I eventually plumbed it up like stock again.
I just never hooked up with another good cycle radiator, so that idea never materialized.
With the Jabsco, water wetter, and my Jim Brown scoop, my MATs are acceptable.
