I didn't read the whole thread. From what I have read in past you need to pull your valve body, pull it a part and clean it out before switching to tractor fluid.

No one did that in the other thread. In the past I've ran DexIII, Type F, motor oil at the same time.
Tractor oil is better for the gears and bushing/bearings. Just have to get the one that works with the clutch material. All the newer tractor trans have electrics in them I believe. The only one I've seen a part was for a scraper. I was more amazed at the ~12 inch high 14 plate valve body. To busy to notice wires....

Once the oil gets old/burnt in a trans it's a crap shoot what will happen when you change the fluid.
They often fail...

Since you guys are running F I guess it doesn't eat the TCC solenoid winding varnish.

mhh, i got alot of hytran here. but..it's alot thicker i would say when cold.

Hi folks,

I would luv some feedback on the "new, improved" (that's what it says on the label) Mobil 1 synthetic ATC.

It had problems when it was introduced about 20 years ago--swelled up the seals, etc., but I would think they could get it correct by now. Any opinions?

the thing i ask myselve. is it that we are on the limit of the 700r4s's or on the limit of atf. i would be geussing the first, and in our application it's going to fail even if you put better oil in it.
