GM will debut a six-speed transmission for front-wheel and all-wheel drive vehicles on the 2007 Saturn Aura

so we'll be using saturn parts in our trucks in a few years :lol: sweet

dunno about the internal transmission controller.. Sounds to me like the LAN setup is here, needing to have a data connection capable of transmitting all the necessary information to the trans seems to me like it maybe a headache. I know progress is progress, I just dont see anything wrong with the older setup that we all know and love with an external trans controller.. I guess a couple years out nobody will flinch at that.. Its UBER COOL however to have 500lb ft rating from the factory.. The hot rodding market will be all over this bad boy for sure !!

This trans will be in 3500 and up diesel trucks late 06 and 4x4 will be an option but its only serviced as a assembly so cores will be hard to find.

i wonder what one of these is gonna cost. i would imagine when they initially come out they will cost more than the normal syty someone wants to put one in.
