4L80e trans computer bypass

Been reading a lot about the 4L80e swap and am a bit intimidated by all the work required. I think this might help for those feeling the same. No computer install necessary.

You want to just change the transmission over and nothing else. Painless and a few others make a standalone for it. A bit pricey, but who said buying car parts would be cheap.

Why he didn't do a GM ECM... Saw that this morning. I was a little surprised it warranted an article but the Jalopnik guys were blown away.

Some of the people and ingenuity on here would perhaps enjoy some of that publicity... For example, hacking code58 and designing code59. There are many more examples.

This has my interest as well. Not a plug and play, but as long as the solenoid logic is the same, it'll work. I seem to recall a difference in the solenoid logic between the 60e and 60e, but that could all be worked out too.

Nowhere near as good as the Painless or the TCI controller, but another option.
