4L80E Question

SIMPLE

STUNT JUNKIE
Since George has left us, is it worth my time to get a 2wd 4L80E to convert. Didn't know if anyone else would know what's needed. By the way it's a 93' for $150 core price?

the 2wd unit wont work. it has a full tailshaft. the 4wd drive has the short tail on it so you can bolt the transfer case on it.

Talk to rpm, they are doing the 80e swaps now, they will tell you what you can use.

yes you can convert it, you need the proper output shaft and the adapter plate. I think RPM has these now. here's a good pic of the 80e http://forum.efilive.com/showthread.php?t=4305&highlight=4l80e Jeff Scott may have some parts. read this thread http://www.syty.net/forums/showthread.php?t=65013 I see you have a 32 spline input for your transfer case, if you have the 2wd 80e with the splines all the way down you can remove the tailshaft housing, put on the adapter and tc adapter and just cut the output shaft to the correct length.
Hope this helps.
