4 Bolt Main ?

I used the Milodon kit for narrow register blocks. I had them cut the outside bolts off on one to use for a front cap. Check summit for prices. Installation price varies by shop. A must have if you don't have a syty block or bowtie. Be very careful on stock type block selection. I have seen a lot of core shift in these engines. Sonic checking the cylinder walls is a must.

Gm makes a 4 bolt and 2 bolt steel caps.
Those are the ones that Tonys used.
I used the Programs. If I had to do it again I would use the
GM caps. The main reason is that they clear the dipstick tube and
the price is very good for them.

Nolan,

Is it part number #14011072 for the four bolt mains in Tony's truck? Did you replace the front cap with a two bolt billet (#14011052 if I'm right)? If NOT, is it possible? I guess the rear one stayed stock, right?

Falco gets the GOLD star!

Those are the correct part numbers.
One two bolt cap for front #14011052
Two middle 4 bolt caps # 14011072

Tony used the stock rear cap.

Falco gets the GOLD star!

One two bolt cap for front #14011052
GM LIST: $67.96
OUR PRICE: $47.57

Two middle 4 bolt caps # 14011072
GM LIST: $64.29
OUR PRICE: $45.00

just an fyi. since there's no picture on their website i assume they aren't splayed caps, just regular 4-bolt?

The only problem we had with those type is they take a real machine shop $$$ to do them.
There are another type available that use a built in step and do not require as much machine work.

yeah, they really get you for shipping on the stuff they sell. there's something on the website about how they can offer such low prices, bla bla bla, and then make up for it with shipping.

Why does shipping and handling fee seem so high?

Gmpartsdirect.com sells parts near published dealer cost plus a percentage for a shipping and handling fee. This fee is not UPS charges only. The shipping and handling pays for the shipping charges plus our other expenses like web programming, employees, etc. Another way to explain this is, we are selling you the part near published dealer cost, the shipping, and handling pays all of our expenses associated with running the web site. The amount left over after our expense is our profit. Keep in mind our overall price is a tremendous savings over retail price and in most cases is even cheaper than dealer wholesale shipped to your door step, and without leaving the convenience of the Mouse. Compare the overall price delivered to your door.

Warren, yeah those are the easier way to do 'em and require alot less machine work $$$

Al, whenever you need GM or ACDelco stuff, I can get you 10% over cost and the handling is free. Then, I can ship the stuff to you or you can come get it in Orlando.
