. Just be grateful that it got you to and from the NATS before it went. That would have been one expensive tow bill. I tip my hat to all the folks that drive to and from the NATS in your trucks. I never took mine unless it was on a trailer.

Re: #3 for Me...

Does reverse work properly? I had the same thing happen to me, except reverse went as well. Ended up being the sun shell, which is fairly inexpensive to replace.

Yeah, no reverse or 2nd. Pretty sure that 1st is gone as well. Havent had the desire to check it out, although there was plenty of crap on the dipstick. Its got a beast shell in there.

Time to do it right the second time! :)

A local shop

Who was it? My dad takes his stuff to Farmington... but I can't remember the name at the moment. They do really good work on regular transmissions, but yeah, taking a SyTy trans to them? :squint:

I wish my transmission would go out so I can get a new one... but I don't think it will, sitting in the garage.

Yup... that's them! The only issue we've ever had with one of their transmissions, they fixed for free... But none of them were SyTy transmissions.

What's your plan for the rebuild?

At the time of the last rebuild, I didnt have much of a choice since Blake wasnt building at that time. I told them what I wanted to build per "SyTy" spec but we ALL know how that can go. Also I needed it done ASAP since it was my DD. Sux! Lasted three years and prolly less than 15 REAL boost launches now that I think about it

If I had J Sullivans cash flow Id be going the 80e route, but since Im not a Mad Baller I'll prolly go with a Blake 700. Kinda depends on the time frame though, hopefully I can be back on the road early-mid December.

For real, I would actually LOVE to do this myself. Just dont have the place to take my time with it, not to mention getting it to-from a facility that I could do so.

I think thats a good thing that you havent done a tranny swap in a while, sounds like I need to speak with George! :)

Just be forwarned what you're getting yourself into if you pay someone else to do the R&R. I was quoted $700 labor to remove and install mine back in '02 . That's why I opted to do it myself. After the first one, all the other's were cake and I could do them in my sleep .
