Re: 12k rpm's

I would say unless heavily build it would go boom boom I have seen some were the sprag flipped and I dont axactly know fast if it is double engein speed or more than that but the coggs on the reverse drum spread out and chewed up the case and that was in a truck with a 5500-6000rpm rev limiter

I would guess at some point it would, as the 700 shifts by "stopping" parts inside to apply new things. So that 14k rpm motor is spinning trans pieces that now must STOP to shift.

Try it let us know how it works, might want to buy a trans blanket also.

1-2 shift woud be pritty hard core at 12k when the band tries to stop the reverse drum

I am by no means a trans expert, but doesn't some of the parts spin at speeds greater than engine rpm?

If so 12k rpm in the engine could be 24k in trans. I could be all wrong though on that.
