When I check or change spark plugs, 5 of my spark plug wires comes off just fine (with some bloody knuckles from the heat shields). But the #1 plug wire ALWAYS and I mean ALWAYS breaks. I am ultra careful to never yank on the wire, I used a spark plug boot puller in fact TWO of them but neither of them can fit inside the heat shields to grip the wire. So I just have to smash my fingers in to really grab ahold of the plug wire boot. Not that it mattered because what happened was the metal connector inside the boot stuck onto the #1 plug and "disconnected" from the plug boot. Happened on THREE different wires so far and I am running out of spares. What can cause this? What can I do to prevent it? Is it just the way I am removing it? #6 seems to come out without nearly as much of a problem and that's a straight boot too. Thanks.
PS: Taylor says they don't warrant the wire and the guy said "per the warranty, seperation is not covered" then I checked the warranty and it says NOTHING about seperation? Someone told me that Taylor replaced their broken wire for free, that's part of the reason why I went with them, now I find out their wires don't hold up any better than the rest (Accel Extreme 9000s).
