03 cobra

Went racing like I always do and a couple of my friends went out and line up, a 2001 z28 on 175 shot and a spraying s/c cobra. I line up behind to watch and maybe get a race of my own and a 2003 cobra lines up with me. I had been beaten by these before I did all my free mods and this was when my stock seized ic pump was still on the truck. I roll down my pass. window and and wait for him to get ready. The cars in front of us launch and I'm caught offguard when he launches at the same time, I was expecting a count. I launch with about 1 pound of boost right after him and jump up on him. I hear a supercharger whining from my pass. side. Hes right at my door with the front of his car. We hold there for a while, he starts to creep up inch by inch but its not enough. We cross the line with me a fender up on him. The guy that was taping the other race caught ours also. He came up to me and asked why the syclone was in front of the cobra. He is a fan of my truck so I told him not to tell anyone, the guy in the cobra never said a word about it either. I'll keep it a secret from the local guys, I can still prey on mustangs gt's and lightnings if they think its still stock.

thats pretty good if you can keep up with a sprayed cobra ive seen them comfortably in the 12's like that... your trucks riden! good luck with it

ported exhaust side of stock turbo, bellmouthed intake side and intake of intercooler, radiator hose from turbo to intercooler, converter lockup switch, hotwired ic pump(had bad pump at the time but it was a 50 degree night), atr wires, new cap and rotor and delco plugs, 160 thermostat, K&N filter-street radial tires, i think two are the origionals.
Best part is I beat this guys lightning the week before and he went and traded for this cobra. He took it to the track and ran 13.1 all day, I ran 12.98-13.1 with a 1.74 60' in 75 degree weather with a new working johnson ic pump. I'm going to change my ic lines this week for 3/4" heater hose and maybe throw on an auxiliary cooler.

I was behind a race with a sprayed cobra and sprayed z28, the cobra I was racing was almost stock.
