what the best i can do????
hartman's stuff for the most part is too much money for me right now.
anyone have a good trannt for under 1000$
j. waller had one for 800$ still have it?should i go that route or go with local shop?
my tranny is not fried oranything like that the case has a hole in it so maybe i should just get a case and swap everything for now??? right now around 1000$ is what i want to spend on this so what is my best bet..........thanks

Switch to a TH400, I did the whole swap for around a $1200.00. It will last forever, so what you don't have O.D.

If you actually drive yours I wouldnt do it, hell I wouldnt do even if mine was only a race truck. No OD, all gears are different,you will have a slower take off because the of the 400's first gear. It might be cheaper, but you can make a 700 handle the power.

IMO putting in a TH400 is just one less thing to worry about. I have had OD trannys in other cars (GN's), and when you reach a certain power level (700-800hp) they just can't take it.
Yeah on paper it says you lose some performance, but I have always went faster with TH400's, I don't mind giving up a little, for durability.
I wouldn't put a TH400 on a stock Sy.
