What wheels are on the Marlboro Sy? They look like GTA wheels. The Syclone in 10/90 Hot Rod magazine had those wheels on it. Were they specially made for our trucks? I need a second set of wheels for stickier tires. Any inexpensive suggestions?

Look at my pics on the link in my sig pic. The pics don't look perfect because I just took it out of storage .....but I love the rims on my truck. I believe that they are early trans am wheels....they are similar to the Marlboro wheels but they have more chrome. :lol:

Did you have to use any spacers to make them fit? I like the way they look. I know the GN guys use 4 front GTA wheels with spacers.

the marlboro wheels were custom built for the truck by Boyds i belive. and Tim those are great wheels somebody must have been pretty cool to sell those to you :lol:

they are Boyd "Cobra" rims.... custom made for the marlboro...no other vehicle has them...


you wont find them... when chris owned the marlboro and busted a weld on the rim, he had a time trying to get it fixed and getting from boyd.... i think he eventually had it fixed?

dont qoute me, he might have had to pay boyd to machine another....

dunno... but i can find out...

I really am just looking for another set of wheels that I can get for drag radials. I looked in the rim try out page but I didn't really see anything I liked. SLP said the new T/A wheels fit. That's why I was wondering if the old one's will. I like the old black GTA wheels. I am just wondering if any spacers need to be used.
