Where are your WOT shift points set at? If they are the same or too close to each other it will do strange things...

Re: Tune for a 80e

All the shift points are diff by 50 rpm

it goes into third it just does not stay in third to long shifts into 4th long befor it is set to

Still plays with trucks
Re: Tune for a 80e

Are you sure it's 4th and not the converter locking? When they lock it can seem like it's a gear. Check your lock up settings, it might be that.

Why not go adjust it to your liking? The old TCI is fairly simple, look at the part throttle shift point table, go to the 4th gear line, move over to TPS% your having issues with and move it up some.

50rpm may not be enough depending how much power your making. The issue is the rpm for the next gear is sometimes seen before the shift is made, allowing the controller to bypass or skip over a gear. Higher HP cars will need more spreed as the RPM changes quicker.

I have some known good TCI 80e tunes. They are from Dean and Myclone. Shoot me a PM with a email and I'll forward them to you.
