transfercase leak in front

hmmm,,,,, it continues. The search to stop leaks!
Anyways, I have a leak on the front of the transfercase where it bolts to the prop shaft. Is there a seal or gasket that goes in there? I tried to search to book and here, but no luck...

This the same thing that happened to me . So I pulled the transfer case out to put new seals on and could find no leaks anywhere. I put new seals in and installed it. About a week later I had it on my lift and there it was again a couple of drips. What I realized that it was coming from the threads of the bolts holding the case together. One by one I pulled them out and put a high temp sealer on the and tightened. So far its fine.

It's most likely the adapter seal between the t-case and trans!

So I noticed a little drip under my truck. I pulled the case completely apart before installing in the truck. Inspected everything and cleaned it to makes sure it was worthy. I used a tube of black rtv good stuff? Small tube with applicator tip.. Used it to do all the mating surfaces.

I recently did the adapter gasket. I could see between them it is dry. There is a prsence of atf. I found the drop near the output flange on transfer case.. But dry behind it. Looks like its coming from the top.

Could I have overfilled the case? And the stuff is spitting out the vent tube and running down? All my threads are dry. Looks like something up top is leaking any one have any ideas? Cant find anything low that's letting loose fluid. The transfer case support bar looks saturated.

Before you changed the adapter gasket some of the fluid in your transmission could have flowed into your transfer case. I used to have this issue on my Jimmy.

Unscrew your transfer case Fill plug while parked on a level surface and see if any fluid gushes out.
