Transfer case ratings

Hi Guys I have been searching but can find any info. Does any one know what Borg Warner rates the 4472 transfer case at for LBS torque capacity?

I know it has gone 9's but I need to figure out if it would have any chance living it a 5500lbs truck making 1200lbs of torque.

Can't find the source, but I remember talking with Waller (years ago) about the withstandable power of the stock BW4472 case. IIRC, I had found it listed to be somewhere around 3200-3600 ft/lbs, but that includes the first gear multiplication of the 700R4 (3.06*x....x=TQ). So (if I'm right), so the max TQ would be 1176 and some change (say 1200 ft/lbs). This would change if you used a TH350 (2.52 first gear = 1429 max TQ) or a TH400 (2.48 first gear = 1452 max TQ) obviously.

I'll keep checking, because that seems incredibly strong,but then again, they are holding up regularly.

Ya if you can find that it would be great!! and weight of veicle that takes into concideration. The trans is a 4L80E so it has the 2.48 first gear.
