Combating adversyty.
Backzilla put his Ty into a UK garage to get the trans swapped but they told him the shifter cable was toast.
He ordered one from Rock Auto despite me advising that it wouldn't work. It didn't work initially.
We got one from Bezerk (stock) and compared it. Both stock cables appear jammed - they rotate freely but there is almost no travel in the cables.
Are they indeed toast? Seems if they were seized they wouldn't rotate.
Backzilla then put in the Rock auto one and seemed to think it worked - is this a mistake.
Can anyone look at a stock shifter cable they have lying around and confirm if it works just how much travel the cable should have?
Who makes them now? Renz?
