Spark plug gap

Put in some new plugs in my sy,just want to check the spark plug gap,Pepboy's said .035.

I set mine to .032. Works well with my 3 bar MAP Under 20 pounds of boost. The .035 didn't quite hold at 20.

On these trucks I would gap 0.028-0.025.

i just do .030 to keep it simple, but I would trust whatever Nolan says. :2cents:

So what's correct for a stock truck? I thought it was .035

Factory is 0.035. But I am telling you what works better.

I have mine at .027 and it seems to run better than when they were gapped at .035

I am new to site and just bought a Ty. Any particular spark plug recommended over stock AC Delcos? My truck is stock, can I still use Nolan's recomeneded gap? I am getting ready to tune her up.

search NGK, I cant remember what plug fits what head but if you search it you'll find it, ur5(I think)

Correct, NGK UR5 part number 2771 is what you want for stock heads. The NGK UR6, part number 7773 is colder than the UR5.

I'll try 0.027 with the new AC plugs. I'm running about 12psi. It has been running abit funny. See what happens.Thanks!!

If you want a improvement with stock heads use NGK UR6IX part #7348 gap at .028

I always run my plugs at .028 or .25 if I am realling pushing it
