Reverse Input drum check Question

Guys,
When going to a wider 2/4 band should you automatically go to a virgin reverse input drum. Smallest feeler gauge I have is a .0015" and I can fit that between the drum and the straight edge. What do you guys think?? Waller, Blake?? Thanks Fern Sy#477

better get a smaller feeler gauge. you dont automatically go to a new one but in this case u might need to

I already have a wider 2/4 band. Slight discoloration, but seems fairly true. Can the drum be brought to a machine shop for the same services?? The tangs never touched the case at all. I also have a scrap 700 for parts and I measured from tang to tang 180 degrees apart, compared the two, and there identicle. Thanks
